After the biggest hit of race 2, Saif-Ali-Khan is back with Bullett Raja which is an upcoming Gangster-thriller Hindi film. It is written and directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia and produced by Rahul Mittra . This film will also feature Sonakshi Sinha in leading roles. Jimmy Shergill, Ravi Kishan, Chunky Pandey and Vidyut Jamwal will feature in important roles. This film will be set against the background of Uttar Pradesh-based mafia while dealing with the underworld. This film will be released on 6 September 2013.
The ace Director Tigmanshu Dhulia approached to Saif Ali Khan after inspired from his act of Langda Tyagi in Omkara on his 42nd birthday. The Chote Nawab admits the offer after reading the script. Before the name of the movie was Jai Ram Ji Ki but on the intimation of Saif Ali Khan it was named Bullet Raja to gave it more gangster look. The lead actress Sonakshi Sinha expressed agitation about working with Saif Ali Khan and called it a fresh pairing and joined the crew in February 2013.
The male character’s have grown a moustache to fit for the role in the film. Previously, actor Irrfan Khan was uncovered to be a part of the film but he walked out because of hectic schedule and date clashes for his other projects. Afterward, he was replaced by martial artist turned actor Vidyut Jamwal. He decided to design his stunts himself and without any body double.
Gulshan Grover was hired to play a negative role as a powerful goon in the film and the shooting of the film began in Lucknow where producer at first decide Kolkata and Mumbai are the others cities for filming later. The shooting came to an end in Lucknow on December 10 then the second leg began at Kolkata at around last week of February
Both real and fake guns are used during shooting while Saif used real guns for realistic look. All the actors shot in the Dalhousie area of central Kolkata and other locations such as Princep Ghat, flower market, Kumartuli and the famous Laha Bari. Then after completion of schedule in Kolkata the crew turned back to Lucknow to resume and then to Nashik for the final leg of the shooting.
